Currently, she is on the faculty of New York University, teaching Coaching Skills & Techniques at their Master's Degree Program in Human Resource Management and Development. She is also a co-designer of Competitive Advantages of Women in Leadership program at Columbia University.
Dr. Lead has designed and taught a number of courses for NYU's School of Continued & Professional Studies, including Finding Your Inner Life Coach, Finding Your Inner Career Coach, Introduction to Hypnosis, and Goal Imagery – the Shortest Distance between You and Your Goals. She also taught Foundations of Coaching and Interpersonal Communication Skills at NYU's Personal and Organizational Certificate Coaching program.
Based on the overwhelming response to her all-day Introduction to Hypnosis program of Oct. 2006 at the Smithsonian Institution, she received a rare invitation to return nine months later in July of 2007 to present Introduction to Life Coaching. She has also lectured at the 92nd Street Y and co-hosted / produced Laughter as a Life Skill with comic Yakov Smirnoff at the American Airlines Theater on Broadway.
Dr. Lead's background in the performing arts enhances her skills as a coach, therapist and teacher – and makes her an engaging host, presenter, and on-camera guest. A classically-trained pianist, member of the Screen Actors Guild, and former stand-up comic, she has been an Expert Life Coach for Fitness Magazine, collaborated with Dr. Candace Pert, best-selling author of Molecules of Emotion, on her Psychosomatic Wellness CD and hosted LIFE COACH RADIO with Progressive Radio Network. She is currently the Acting Instructor and Theater Director at Shorefront YMHA in Brooklyn, NY, coaching teens on acting and presentation skills.

Called the "Jimmy Hendrix of Alternative Music," Scott plays in a unique genre described as "electrified acoustic trance guitar"-- touring extensively to enthusiastic
crowds across the country. He has opened for such artists as Chicago, Albert Lee, Jackson Browne, Sarah McLachlan, Bob Weir, Bonnie Raitt, Joe Satriani, and
Crosby, Stills and Nash, For the past 7 years, he has performed at the legendary Burning Man Festival, and his music has been featured on MTV's Real World and receives regular airplay on NPR.
Drawing from his own Native American Apache and Chirachua roots, Scott begins his live performances dancing around in circles in bare feet, wearing bells from India and Africa on both ankles, with incense burning from between his strings. Shaking his dolphin guitar like a shaman's medicine rattle, he lifts the guitar to his lips and howls the ancient cries from the deepest seas, leading his audience on a
mesmerizing musical voyage that fits right in with the WAVES OF ATTRACTION
program.
Using a meteorite and agate stone for guitar picks, Scott utilizes every known guitar trick and then adds a few of his own just for fun. He doesn't just play the guitar, he coaxes, drums, strums, slaps, and rattles it -- bending notes, improvising sounds and creating harmonic surprises you've never heard before. And may never hear again. Scott has developed over 300 open guitar tunings and his intricate licks incorporate elements of trance, rock, folk, blues and fusion. He peppers a rhythmic groove with the warping and bending of notes, complete with an array of harmonic surprises. A rich and multi-textured sound, including percussive interludes, creates the illusion of three or four incredibly gifted musicians performing at the same time.

Tragedy, Healing and Inspiration
In 1987, Scott was involved in a near-fatal motorcycle accident. Doctors told him that he would not walk or use his right hand again. Fortunately, Scott ignored their dire predictions and began his inspiring recovery, which began with the gift of an acoustic guitar. A remarkable healing process ensued which Scott attributes to the new music that flowed through his soul, along with a full year spent swimming with wild dolphins and whales. It is his mission to share this music with the world in order to help others find joy and inner peace.
In March of 2007, 20 years after his life-threatening accident, Scott suffered another personal tragedy -- when nearly everything he owned was destroyed, including all but one of his precious guitars. While in Hawaii, spreading his recently deceased mother's ashes through the islands she had always dreamed of visiting, a hot water pipe burst in Scott's home --filling it with 2 feet of water for over 2 months.
When he finally returned, a toxic black mold had ruined all his belongings. When Next Wave founder Peter Einstein heard about Scott's loss, within days after deciding to produce the WAVES OF ATTRACTION Cruise, he immediately offered to use the cruise to help get Scott back on his feet. Having performed on some of Peter's most popular cruises in the past, Scott instantly took him up on the offer -- and we will all be grateful for it.
